Interactive hearing and speech perception therapy through the Internet
Developer: BME TMIT Laboratory of Speech Acoustics
The program developing hearing and speech perception can on the one hand assist in the intensive education of hearing-impaired children (from the ages of 3 or 4); on the other, it is a novelty tool in the rehabilitation of people with cochlear implants, helping children and adults living with an implant in the realistic interpretation of neural stimuli. The program is made in a format that can be run from the Internet, so it is freely accessible to everyone, independent of what type of computer one uses. The user logs in to our server through the Internet: here he/she can use the Hearing Corrector, read about news, and can ask questions on message boards, e-mail lists, and find our suggested answers to the problem.
