In research
Kilgray has extensive research experience on the fields of the ergonomy and quality control of translation work, language-independent segmentation, similarity search and indexing algorithms.

In education
Our senior staff have for a long time regularly taught courses on translation technology in various institutions where translators are trained, primarily at ELTE’s Department of Translation and Interpreting, the University of Szeged, and the University of Miskolc.

Major tendered and contracted work since 2005
1. GVOP-3.3.2-05/1.-2005-05-0012/3.0 (GVOP INFRA) to create translation technology researcher jobs for the development of a translation tool providing team and language support
2. GVOP-3.3.3-05/2.-2006-01-0018/3.0 (GVOP KKV) to prepare translation support systems for fulfilling corporate requirements
3. MATT 2007 (DERI-EUREKA) (in progress) to develop web-based automated multilingual terminology translation tool EUREKA (partner: Tilde, Latvia (http://www.tilde.lv))
4. GOP-1.3.1-07/1-2008-0016 to support corporate innovation (contract under negotiation): to develop full versioning and advanced text utilization in Kilgray’s translation support system.
